Experimental Stone Lithography Weekend

Lithography without tusche! Explore how to use lithography as an expressive and experimental medium. Find out about transfer printing and the multitude of ways transfers can be applied to stone before printing. Opening up several creative routes normally associated with monotype but with the benefit of being repeatable. Working in colour explore printing blends, overprinting, reduction printing, If you have done a litho course recently and are tempted by those lovely stones, but feel you need some more practice, then this course is for you!
Opening up the range of possibilities, the course will explore ways to use lithography in a more expressive way, using transfer techniques to produce multi-layer lithographs with colour blends, overprinting, reduction printing and acid biting. Some recent stone or plate Lithography experience is required to attend this course. We recommend Stone Lithography evening class or weekend course as the perfect prequel to this course! During the course we will work to aprox. A3 28 x 38.5cm
