Curatorial Reflections as part of 'Future Flow'

Join us on November 28th at 4pm GMT for a free, peer-led conversation about curating.

You can either get in touch with us via info@edinburghprintmakers.co.uk to be added to a waitlist for an in-person space, or you can join the initial discussion virtually by booking a ticket on this page.

Curatorial Collective Future Flow presents a peer-led conversation for fellow emerging curators.

'Future Flow' is a fellowship of young art workers based in India and Scotland, that during a year-long curatorial fellowship developed and produced the exhibition From Where I Stand, currently on display at Edinburgh Printmakers.

Join the curators to hear about the experiences they gained during the fellowship, and their reflections about the different staged of exhibition making from developing the concept, selecting and commissioning seven international artists, and producing three shows and the releative programmes of events in Ahmedabad, Delhi and Edinburgh.

This event aims to be a moment of reflection, informal learning, and peer support to connect with fellow students and emerging curators and create a space to build communities around exhibition-making. Join Future Flow curators with your experience in the art world, however that looks like, and share your questions, doubts and ideas with other emerging creatives.

The curators will reflect on their participation in the fellowship, the opportunities and challenges they faced, the processes of international collaboration, and their broader experience of moving their first steps into the curatorial world.

The event format will be as follows:

4-5pm (9:30pm-10:30pm IST): Hybrid presentation and discussion

5-5:30pm: Refreshments and networking

5:30-6pm: Curatorial tour

If you would like to join the initial presentation/discussion virtually, please click here.

Future Flow has been developed by Edinburgh Printmakers and Flow India working with the National Institute of Design, India, Edinburgh College of Art and the Centre for Research Collections at the University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh Napier University, and Queen Margaret University.

The project and exhibitions have been supported by The British Council.

With thanks to the Consul General of India, Edinburgh for their support throughout the project.

The project was conceived as part of the British Council's India/UK Together, a Season of Culture, which marked the deep connections and 75th anniversary of India with a landmark programme that strengthened the friendship and vibrant cultural bonds of both countries, while addressing shared global challenges.
