'Who's a Printmaker Anyway?'

As part of the Edinburgh Canal Festival

Join us in the tranquil Edinburgh Printmakers courtyard for a free, active, alfresco printmaking workshop like never before!

To celebrate the Union Canal as part of the Edinburgh Canal Festival 2024, Edinburgh Printmakers will lead two groups of open-minded folk around the Union Canal, Gilmore Park and Leamington Bridge area to ink up exposed surfaces and take relief prints.

The whole group will be making a group print as well as individual prints to take home. We will also be encouraging participation in our current open exhibition, Whose Gallery is it Anyway?

You will also get a chance to learn some history about the area and the Edinburgh Printmakers building. Exploring the various textures and patterns that make up the urban environment surrounding the canal and the printmakers through printmaking is a tactile way to connect to the histories and community of the area.

Tickets are free but please book in advance.

Donations are very welcome and help support Edinburgh Printmakers continue providing access to printmaking and the arts.
