Stone Litho Demo with Natasha Thomas
Join us on Sunday 1st December at 3pm for a demonstration on stone lithography with our resident artist Natasha Thomas.
During our Winter Print Fest celebrations, this talk will be an opportunity to learn more about the fascinating medium of Stone Lithography and assist to a demonstration. Attendees will then be gifted a small Christmas token printed by Natasha!
Natasha has been working in the EP Studio since June 2024, learning stone lithography from Master Printmaker and EP Head of Editions, Alastair Clark. She’s been fascinated by the contact with the stone and how it creates a unique quality of drawing.
This event is part of our series, Unwrapped, focusing on rarely seen treasures of our Permanent Collection, deep diving into different media, techniques, themes and research into printmaking.
Natasha Thomas has been awarded a residency period in the EP Studio from our Young Women Printmakers programme. This residency programme and the event series Unwrapped are both part of our heritage project Castle Mills: Then & Now supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, made possible by money raised by National Lottery players.
