Pavement Printmakers: Stories from the Towpath

As part of the Edinburgh Canal Festival

Join us on Saturday 21st June at 2pm at the Edinburgh Printmakers’ stall at the Lochrin Basin for an active, alfresco printmaking workshop like never before!

To celebrate the Union Canal as part of the Edinburgh Canal Festival 2025, Edinburgh Printmakers will lead a group of open-minded folks around the Union Canal, Leamington Bridge and Gilmore Park area to ink up exposed surfaces and take relief prints.

The whole group will be making a group print as well as individual prints to take home.

You will also get a chance to learn some history about the area and the Edinburgh Printmakers building. Exploring the various textures and patterns that make up the urban environment through printmaking is a tactile way to connect to the histories and community of the area.

EP partners with the WelcoMe App by Neatebox, supporting visitors in indicating areas of or specific assistance they might require. More information can be found on our website accessibility page.
