Summer Print Club, Week 3 12-15yr olds
Running over 3 weeks for 3 age groups, these short sessions are designed to offer an experience of printmaking using accessible techniques and materials, encouraging creative thinking and problem solving in a relaxed and friendly space.
Workshops run from 10am-12noon
Week 3, 10-13 August 12-15 year olds
Tuesday: Lino cut Explore this relief printing technique. Design, cut and print a simple image using different inking techniques to enhance the image you’ve created.
Wednesday: Drypoint etching Create an ‘etched ‘ image using a sheet of acrylic and etching needle, adding tone and texture and inking up with a range of colours Thursday: Kitchen Sink Lithography Bringing the kitchen into the studio – using chocolate spread and other surprise materials to draw with. This magical process will be brought to life in this fun and engaging workshop to create a small litho print.
Friday: Blind relief Create a 3D embossed print using card and cardboard to construct a printing plate. This technique explores shape and form in the absence of ink.
