T-Shirt Printing
Using open mesh and prepared screens with water based pigment inks on cotton T’s you will be introduced to a variety of immediate, fun and experimental processes for textiles.
You’ll learn how to mix opaque and transparent colour, create colour blends and explore painterly mono printing. You’ll be encouraged to bring drawings, sketches or images which will prompt a discussion about the appropriateness of image and how best to create a design for print. You’ll then plan and cut your own designs using paper stencils before applying these to your T shirt. You’ll leave with several cotton samples and 2 finished white cotton T shirt designs.
