Refresher Sessions offer an opportunity to consolidate skills, gain valuable printmaking experience and spend time in the studio with dedicated staff support. During each session there will be a demonstration of a particular technique or process following which there is time and opportunity for you to develop your own prints. Unlike our more structured weekend courses, refresher courses can be used to develop your own prints at your own pace and explore whichever aspects of a process are more interesting or relevant to you. Time spent in refresher sessions gives you experience and counts towards your workshop induction so you become familiar with using the studio. Once you have attended a few of these sessions you are able to come back and take out a membership to use the studio outside of class hours and under your own steam. Who are they for? -For lapsed members of EP -Printmakers with good experience in that process but new to EP -People who have completed a weekend course but are looking for some more support/assistance to build up confidence/experience before working in the studio Please Note This course is NOT suitable for people with NO experience in Photo Plate Lithography - (our weekend access courses are intended for those new to a process) If you are unsure if you are suitably experienced to attend, we ask that you email us in advance of booking at alastair.clark@edinburghprintmakers.co.uk with the following information: - When was the last time you did litho? - What courses have you attended and where? - Do you have examples of prints you haveprinted yourself using this process and can you send a photo? - What other print studios have you worked in?
