On 1 November 2025, join us for a fun, hands-on three-hour to learn how to create your own Japanese signature stamp! Artist and printmaker Kanae Park will guide you step by step. First, you'll learn how to use traditional Japanese calligraphy brushes to write your name in Japanese. Then, convert your name into a lino print Hanko (a carved stamp commonly used in Japan as a signature). This course is open to all. Children are welcome when accompanied by an adult.

Join us for messy play sessions on Tuesday mornings! The sessions will meet every other week starting Tuesday 4th November from 10:15-11am for some sensory-based fun for babies and toddlers (0-5 years). In Messy Play we will employ different materials to craft, draw, paint and discover textures, sounds, colours and shapes together. The sessions focus on early years foundational aspects of sensory development, giving babies and toddlers a space to engage freely with different sensorial stimuli. The sessions are structured with two play areas: one playing mat on the floor for babies and small children and a table with materials and instructions for older children to engage in more structured creative activities with their parents. These classes are also an opportunity for new parents to find new routines and combat parental isolation by meeting with other creative parents. Book your child's space - adults attend for free! All sessions employ safe to ingest / edible materials. A full list of ingredients will be provided each session. As bonfire night approaches, celebrate with this colourful messy play session. We will explore various textures and sounds with fireworks sensory buckets and create our very own 'fireworks' with bright colours! Tuesday 18th November – Potion making! A magical creative morning filled with story-based play and potion making! Create a powerful potion together through sensory activities and see what magical creatures appear from it! Tuesday 16th December – Festive Fun! Get in the festive spirit with this engaging session where we will decorate a Christmas Tree together. This messy play will use paints, stamps, stickers and fun bauble making! Tuesday 6th January – Slime Session! Get stuck into the new year with a sensory slime session! Learn through exploration in this fun and messy morning with different smells and textures.

This course runs on Sundays, twice a month. September 21st - Special Hall of Hours Family Print Club! Dive into the magic of Robert Powell's exhibition, with ticking clocks, silly characters and neverending corridors. Make a mask with milk cartons and other treasures from the recycling bin and then join Robert for a masked Bell Ceremony in the Gallery! September 28th Mirror, Mirror on the Wall - create some quirky selfie prints with a mirror and a felt tip. October 26th Prints from the Recycling Bin - try relief printmaking with some cardboard juice cartons and plastic milk bottles. November 23rd Create Your Own Creature - Cutting out shapes from wallpaper texture to relief print your own magical creature. December 14th Festive Xmas Card printing - Make your own christmas cards! Etching into styrofoam then printing to make some original festive card for friends and family. Price shown per session. Book one session or more as required.
